The stars lean down to see me
And i lied when i said okay
Pour me a heavy dose of sleeping pills
It's been a thousand days for this opened eyes
Sit down on this cold soil of the earth
The city sparkles in the night
How can it glows so bright?
I can't find the answer
So i sit on the front porch all night
I'll forget the world i knew
I'll swallow my pride
I would see the light
Make me new
The last remaining lights go dark
It's depressing, but what can i do?
I see them above me as my masters
And i'm just a low, poor protector
So i sit on the front porch all night
I'll forget the world i knew
I'll swallow my pride
I would see the light
Make me new
I don't want it to end like this
I want to be free, just like the wind
But that's the final ending, their voices still resounding
I'm used to not losing them
So i sit on the front porch all night
I'll forget the world i knew
I'll swallow my pride
I would see the light
Make me new
So i sit on the front porch all night
I'll forget the world i knew
I'll swallow my pride
'til i see the light
Make me new
Notes: This song is originally written as a short story/poetry by Tika Savitri(sorry if i write it wrong) who asked me to make it into a song. I play it in C Major key. maybe about 100-110 BPM. I've changed some words in it because the original one doesn't have good rhyming(it's intended to be a short story). I haven't recorded it yet. Maybe i'll upload it in 1-2 weeks to my Soundclick account. Anyway, thanks for her for "constructing" those beautiful words and "enlighten" my days starting from last Tuesday, April 20th 2010, to a yet unknown amount of happy and sad times. Hopefully she'll always enlighten me for our remaining days here on earth :)
