Eagerness

While you're sleeping in the dead of the night, i was running among the dew.
While you're waking up from your sleep, i sprinted with the wind.
While you're stepping out to open the window, i was climbing the rough rock wall.
And while you're starting to do your chores, i jumped onto my bed and sleep.

You ran to chase your bus, i woke from my cold sleep.
You struggled to get into the elevator, i tried to run from bullets.
You entered the realm of assignments, i fought the harsh weather.
And when you finally beat the day, i thanked mother nature for keeping me alive.

Oh, youth and eagerness.
